Mother's Day

A baby asked God, “They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?” God said, “Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you.” Who will protect me?” God said, “Your angel will defend you even if it means risking its life.”
"God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel's name." God said, "You will simply call her, "Mom."

Being Hannah and Jack's mommy is truly the best job in the whole world and I am so glad God chose me to be theirs. I am so in love with my kids it's sick. I was blessed with the most amazing mother who still is my rock, my support, my guidance, my heart. I can't imagine life without her. I hope my kids feel the same way about me someday. To me, Mother's Day is about being with your kids. I hope I'm not offending anyone (I'm sure I am, but you'll get over it), but I never understood the women who spend mother's day away from their kids relaxing somewhere or getting a pedicure or whatever? The only reason you have a day is because of your kids so you might as well enjoy it with them. Tim and I both don't like being away from our kids. It makes us feel like we are missing a leg. Anyway, I chose to go to Goofy's Kitchen for breakfast. We have been wanting to go but it's expensive so we were waiting for a special day. Now I think maybe it will be our mother's day tradition. The food was great and Hannah loved the characters. We saw Goofy, Pluto, Chip, Dale, Alice, Mad Hatter, Baloo, Rafiki, and Princess Jasmine. Jack was terrified of Chip/Dale and Baloo. Literally screamed bloody murder. Nothing says Mother's Day like scaring the snot out of your kid. Hannah loved them all. She wants to bring a honey pot next time for Baloo and thinks it's hysterical that Pluto said Mickey was in the back cooking. Her favorite was Rafiki because he ran his finger across her forehead just like he does to Simba and she just thought that was the best. We ate so much food and Hannah devoured the Mickey shaped waffles and pancakes. Not to mention loved making her own ice cream sundae. Nothing makes me happier then seeing my kids happy so it was the best morning. Later in the day we went swimming at Granny and Grandpas. Hannah is a good swimmer and Jack went in the pool for the first time and loved splashing. He is so cute in his swimsuit. Grandpa made a birthday dinner and we celebrated my early 30th. My first 30 were pretty hard to beat. I have amazing childhood memories and accomplishments. I am proud of the woman I have become and feel blessed to have an adoring husband, two beautiful children, a house we earned, and a job I enjoy. I'm not sure what more I could ask for, but I'm excited to see what life has in store.
