Give me a H!

Well, we officially have a talker, baby talk that is. Hannah is now cooing daily. She says 'aaahhh' and 'eewww' The funniest is that she has this yodeling goat puppet that granny gave her and Hannah talks back to it. It's really cute.

Another new development is that she finally seems to have three distinct nap times during the day. Before she was just snoozing off and on throughout the whole day, but now she naps morning, afternoon and evening, in mommy's arms of course. It is nice to have more predictability with her though. Hannah and mommy have also started being 'work out partners.' You all now I am not one for exercise so I figured I needed an accountability partner (aka Hanney). Each day when she does tummy time working on her neck and arm muscles, I do some sit ups. So far it has been successful. We have made it through about 5 days in a row. Yeah!

Final update is that we have a future Laker girl in the house. This year Tim is coaching a fourth grade girl's basketball team. Today they had a game so Hannah and I went. She wore her Laker cheerleader outfit and looked so stinking cute. Everyone there loved her. The whole time watching I just kept wondering if someday she will choose to be on the court or on the sideline with pom poms. Sadly, the Dragons fell short tonight, but Tim was a great coach and gave the girls a lot of encouragement. I did see him cringe a few times though, particularly at the girl who shot at the wrong basket and the one who threw the ball up at the basket underhand granny style. I know he'd prefer working with high school boys who can run actual plays, but I realized tonight that when baskets are few, each one means so much more and the girls had a lot of fun. I am proud of Tim for giving up his time and his Friday nights to work with them. Well I guess he gave up his Friday nights about two months ago....
